General information


Prison Island isn't a traditional escape room—it's an adventurous challenge! In a prison setting, you and your team will move from cell to cell to complete tasks and score as many points as possible. Read more about it on this page.

No, it's more than just an escape room. There are multiple rooms (26 cells) where you complete the challenges. Each cell requires a specific skill—such as logical thinking, physical challenges, and strategic insight.

Prison Island Veluwe is part of Kroongeheim and is located at Garderenseweg 136 in Uddel.

Game concept and execution


The goal is to earn as many points as possible as a team. You do this by completing all sorts of different challenging tasks in the various cells within the allotted time.

Upon arrival, you will be given a brief briefing and an electronic key. Then you divide into teams of 3-4 people. You choose a team name and enter the prison. A challenge awaits in each cell where you will encounter puzzles, physical tasks and challenges. Each cell has its own level of difficulty and is linked to specific points and time limits.

You can choose a playtime of 1, 1.5 or 2 hours at Prison Island Veluwe. The most commonly chosen playtime is 1.5 hours.

Who is Prison Island Veluwe for?


Participation is available for ages 9 and up. For participants under the age of 16, an adult must participate on each team.

A team consists of 2 to 4 players. With 3 or 4 people you can play ALL the cells. With 2 people you miss a small part, but you can still enter about 80% of the cells. Some missions are more challenging, which makes it extra fun. The more teams participate, the greater the competition and the fight for the highest score!

Prison Island Veluwe can accommodate up to 40 people at a time. Are you coming with a larger group? If so, please request a quote—we can put together great packages that combine this experience with other activities.

Yes, you can leave a cell at any time. The cells are not extremely small or completely locked. In doubt? Contact us in advance.

Yes, we offer special packages for companies, groups of friends, family outings and bachelor parties. Combine Prison Island Veluwe with other activities, such as Glow Mini Golf or an E-chopper tour, and complete the outing with food and drinks.

Yes, Prison Island can also be played in English. The instructions are available in English, and guidance can be provided in English if necessary.

Preparation


We recommend comfortable clothing in which you can move freely. Wear shoes without heels, such as sneakers, as the game contains physical challenges.

Reservation and payment


You can easily make a reservation online through our website. For larger groups, you can request a quote. Reservations by phone are possible, but we charge a €4.50 reservation fee for these.

Advance online reservations are required. When making your reservation, you can pay with iDEAL, PayPal, credit card, Bancontact (for Belgian guests), and giroPay (for German guests). On-site payments can only be made by debit card; cash is not accepted.

If you cancel (part of) your reservation less than 72 hours before the start time, no refund or rescheduling will be possible. For more details, please see our Terms and Conditions.

If you come with fewer people than booked, cancellation policies apply. Refunds or rescheduling is not possible within 72 hours before the start. You may choose to bring other participants, however, spots are not personalized.

We recommend making reservations early, especially on weekends and vacations. Last-minute reservations are possible if there is still availability.

Location and facilities


Yes, there’s a cozy restaurant where you can stop by before or after the game… If you’re with a group of more than 25 people, you can also order a buffet or BBQ from us.

There are restrooms where you can change. In addition, lockers are available to safely store your belongings during the game.

Ample free parking is available at our location.

You are allowed to take photos in the common areas, and there are special spots where your team can capture a fun memory afterward!

Absolutely! Our venue is nicely cooled with air conditioning. That way, you can really let loose at Prison Island—even on the hottest days, you'll stay sharp, cool, and ready for action!
